Some of the Guerrillas who were hit toppled sideways to the ground and turned into pyres, but those who weren't hit seemed only to have their hatred stoked further by it, and instead sped up as they threw themselves at the United Kingdom wizards.
In the eyes of the United Kingdom wizards, these American Guerrillas were terrifyingly insane. The rapidly spreading blaze made them look as if they had come from Hell itself. Clad in flames, the strength of their hatred for the enemy that had ravaged their nation outweighed the agony of being burned alive. Even more terrifying was that the United Kingdom wizards thought these Americans intended, now that peace talks had already begun, to take advantage of their unpreparedness and drag them down to death together.
This finally made some of the Kingdom wizards in the front row break and begin retreating. Macduff, at their head, sprang into the air and hurled himself at a wizard who, stunned and terrified, had no time to dodge. The two of them rolled together, and the flames on his body engulfed the United Kingdom wizard as well, making the shrill screams of that panic-stricken Kingdom wizard drown out the roars of the American wizards.
The smell of flesh, clothing, and even boots burning together had none of the legendary aroma of roast meat, but it still filled the battlefield and made many people frown.
