Once everyone else had left, only a few witches and Allen remained in the living room.
Penelope dropped into the seat beside Allen, right where Morgan le Fay had been sitting. She folded her arms, stretched out her long legs, crossed them, and said with her brows raised and her face taut, "Why did you have to allow those countries to send people into the Grim Reaper's domain to investigate? It's all useless work, and in the end more people will just die."
"We really should have stopped them. Why let those innocent lives be sacrificed for nothing?" Hermione shook her furry head. After days spent organizing postwar materials and researching the Underworld, she looked somewhat exhausted. "But Owen and the others were right too... warnings and explanations alone won't be enough to stop them. They'll only believe it after they test it themselves."
"A few more deaths shouldn't pose a threat to Allen..." Emily said dully, propping up her cheeks. "The ones who pose a threat aren't the guys who'll die the moment they go in."
"Emily's right. No matter how many ordinary mobs there are, they won't pose much of a threat to me." Allen pressed his hand onto Emily's head, then lifted his eyes to Penelope and Hermione. Knowing what they were thinking, he comforted them softly, "I can also summon and control large numbers of Undead Creatures in that world to fight for me, but the battle itself will still come down to me and the Grim Reaper."
The room fell into a brief silence—Allen had basically stated firmly once again that he would enter the Grim Reaper's domain and fight him.
