Strangely, the badly injured Grim Reaper Herpo showed no anger or loss of control. The pressure faintly radiating from him did not change, either. His remaining hand rested on the Cobra-shaped Staff, while the surrounding Negative Energy gathered around him and was absorbed into his body to repair his damaged form.
"I have watched every scheme and plot of yours with incomparable delight. Each time I made a move, each time I thought checkmate was at hand, you always found a way to counter it. The struggle between us has given me entertainment enough to savor for a thousand years..." the Grim Reaper said in an extremely earnest, hoarse voice. "My tutor, my master when I was still alive, once taught me that there were no useless spells, only foolish wizards." His expression even seemed a little nostalgic. "Mr. Harris has allowed me to revisit that lesson today, making me suffer a piece of magic of my own making, and inflicting damage I have not suffered in all these years, from when I was still a living man, to becoming an Undead Creature, to becoming a god..."
Grim Reaper Herpo turned the cloak that had become strips of rag behind him, futilely smoothed it a few times, then gave up on restoring it to any sort of decency.
Then, noticing Allen's expression, he pointed at his own body, which had begun to Reparo, and said in an even tone, "The Negative Energy of death contained in this world is fatal to you living people, but to me, it is an inexhaustible source of energy."
"Things are always making some progress. For example, I've mastered a few more things now." Allen shrugged, then pointed at the Grim Reaper. "See? Your Mirror Cloak is completely ruined now."
