The Grim Reaper sensed something was wrong and, without thinking, poured magic from the palm clamped around Allen. In an instant, Allen's body lost its moisture; his already scorched body and face rapidly withered, and his skin crackled and split apart. In the blink of an eye, the Vampire's Touch cast by the Grim Reaper had left Allen's body rotten beyond recognition. A few gurgling sounds came from his throat. His head tipped to the right, and he stopped breathing.
Grim Reaper Herpo immediately flung him away. Allen's corpse hit the ground like a heap of sludge, and Herpo quickly sprang back several steps as if shot backward. His yellow eyes widened like a cat's when it was on alert, the goatee on his cheeks trembling, while the cane in his hand sank a short way into the ground and began examining him.
The Grim Reaper could feel something strange inside his body, as if countless ants were crawling along his blood vessels, through his lungs and organs. Amid that unbearable tingling itch, a power and sensation he had almost forgotten began to erupt within him.
On the other side, a basketball-sized mass of ghostly blue light had already appeared behind Luna. She merely turned her head to glance at the surging energy, then immediately looked back at the Grim Reaper, her long, pale-gold curls slipping down from her cheek.
The blue radiance expanded layer upon layer, coiling around like bands of light encircling a satellite and tightly wrapping the lump of flesh inside. The egg-shaped mass of blood and flesh slowly distorted within the deepest blue light, stretching and spinning as it writhed like a maggot.
