Its walls were made of natural mountain stone, uneven and rough, as though they had been carved directly from some mountainside. They appeared simple and unadorned, yet possessed a medieval charm. The various chilling paintings on the walls were all rendered in black and white, their chaotic abstract patterns resembling ashes after a fire, lending the entire room an even more eerie atmosphere.

Though in truth, it had merely been artificially aged with time magic and had not been built long ago.

The Harris family, the most powerful family in the Magical Empire, sat rather informally around a broad dining table. Dim candlelight cast their faces into shadow.

The Ioun Stones above the wizards' heads circled around their foreheads in midair along circular paths. The soft light emitted by the floating Ioun Stones made their faces appear hazy and mysterious, while dazzling arcs of electricity and abruptly flaring points of light occasionally burst around them, revealing the strength of their magic.
