Cold moonlight shone upon the path leading to the Forbidden Forest. The pitch-black forest seemed like a gaping mouth, ready to Devour anyone daring enough to trespass.
A narrow trail disappearing deeper into the dark woods lay before Allen, and a light breeze stirred his hair. From the entrance, the forest looked hazy and indistinct. Its bizarre branches resembled Devils baring their claws, waiting for their prey to arrive. Moonlight filtered through gaps in the leaves, casting circles of light upon the ground. Rather than offering the warmth of brightness, it brought an eerie, disorienting sense of dizziness.
Allen did not hesitate in the slightest and strode forward. Fear of darkness and the unknown was human instinct, but great skill gave one courage. Allen believed he could overcome any difficulty.
Before long, several broken branches and a trail of messy footprints caught Allen's attention. Looking in the direction of the tracks, he saw silvery-white traces ahead.
