At the breakfast table the next day, Allen saw his eldest brother, Albert.
After exchanging good mornings, Albert was the first to ask, "Allen, I heard you won a Neptune? Can I take a look at it later?"
"Yes, of course, Albert."
"Allen did wonderfully. This morning's Daily Prophet even reported how Allen won the prize. That's really impressive." Mr. Harris flicked the newspaper in his hand.
"Dad, I want to see it," Lenn chimed in.
"Me too, me too." Emily had already become her brother's biggest fan. She ran to her father's side, competing for a look.
"Emily, can you even understand it?" Lenn teased his sister mischievously.
"I can't, but there's a picture of Brother Allen in it," Emily answered with perfect justification.
Mr. Harris handed the newspaper to Lenn, and Allen read it beside him.
It described how he had won the prize and included a large photograph. In it, Allen held Neptune with a smile on his face, while Ron's freckles were clearly visible beside him.
"Breakfast is served, breakfast is served." Mrs. Harris cheerfully directed the breakfast dishes to everyone's places.
"Roasted tomato, bacon, Danish pastries, and porridge. What a feast!" little Emily sighed contentedly.
Allen viciously bit into a roasted tomato, his heart filled with despair over future meals.
After breakfast, Allen used homework as an excuse to return to his room. Once he had locked the door, he called for the system.
"The Super Scholar System is at your service." An ethereal voice rang out in his mind.
"Open the storage space."
The storage space appeared before Allen. There were now four types of items inside: a roll of parchment tied with red silk ribbon, a wizard robe, and two books.
Allen already knew that the parchment was the "Invincible Aura," so he chose the wizard robe.
Without a doubt, it was a magnificent wizard robe. Its black velvet fabric was exceptionally smooth, with a mysterious black sheen flickering faintly across it. It had silver trim three fingers wide, engraved with runes Allen could not understand.
"What functions does this robe have?"
The moment that thought crossed his mind, a description of its functions appeared beneath its storage slot.
"Miaomiao Wizard Robe!"
The moment Allen saw the name, he could not help mocking it. What a silly, adorable name!
Miaomiao Wizard Robe: Can transform into any clothing you desire. Comes with automatic stain-removal magic, invisibility magic (three uses per day, thirty minutes each, cannot be accumulated), Transfiguration magic, and defensive magic (can reflect ordinary jinxes).
Allen immediately took off his clothes and put on the wizard robe.
Its smooth texture soothed his skin, and it was so light that it felt as if he were wearing nothing at all.
After thinking for a moment, Allen transformed the Miaomiao Wizard Robe into the outfit he had just been wearing.
He casually poured a cup of black tea over himself. The water stains were clearly visible, and the robe dripped wetly, yet he did not feel the slightest damp discomfort, as though a thin membrane separated him from it.
At the thought of "clean it," the robe, which had been soaking wet just moments ago, instantly dried without a trace of water stains.
His entire outfit became clean and neat. The collar stood stiffly against his neck like an ironed shirt collar, and the clothes fit him perfectly.
Allen chose another book. It was extremely thick, with a vermilion cover decorated by a compass-like ornament. It was a combination lock that could be set with a seven-digit password. Since Allen remembered that the number seven held special significance in the world of Harry Potter, he set it to "7777777."
When he opened the cover, a line of gilded words appeared on the pale yellow, thin parchment: "Encyclopedia of Spells."
The table of contents was divided into six sections: common spells, defensive spells, offensive spells, Dark Magic, Unforgivable Curses, and others.
Allen casually opened to a page. It read: Common Charms—Alohomora (Unlocking Charm): Alohomora.
It also detailed the key points of the spell. On the page beside it, a man dressed in seventeenth-century United Kingdom aristocratic attire tirelessly demonstrated the wand movements over and over. When Allen touched him, sound actually played, making it easier for viewers to master the Incantation's pronunciation.
This was incredibly useful.
Suppressing his excitement, Allen opened the book he had received yesterday, Spell Application Strategies.
It had a blue leather cover and golden lettering, while its table of contents marked the page numbers for various simple Incantations.
Interestingly, the page numbers were not fixed. Every now and then, a new spell would appear, along with information about which book it came from and who its author was. Allen guessed that whenever someone published a new spellbook, this book would automatically record it.
He casually opened to a page: Sonorus (Amplifying Charm): Sonorus.
Application Strategies: It can be used in public places where you need to attract attention, allowing your voice to resound throughout the entire venue.
Below that, it also noted the method for casting the spell and the wand movements. It even provided examples, using cases to tell readers how people had used this charm in various situations.
As he read those cases, Allen gained a deeper understanding of the Magical World.
It was not just Charms, but also social customs and local ways of life.
And so, for the remainder of the holiday, Allen devoured these two books.
The words had already been firmly imprinted in Allen's mind, but he still needed to continually absorb and understand the audiovisual materials.
"Allen, can you help dictate some words for me?" Emily knocked on Allen's door.
"Of course, dear Emily."
As an excellent teacher, Allen was more than willing to tutor his little sister, who was very close to him.
After dictating the words, Allen also taught Emily an associative memorization method to train the little girl's memory.
After seeing off his enthusiastic sister, Allen also needed to prepare for the start of school. First came his homework.
After going through all of Allen's textbooks, it was truly easy to complete all the assignments by checking the homework record book.
