After knocking, Allen waited patiently for a moment before the door suddenly flew open. Professor Snape stood there with greasy hair and a gloomy expression, staring at Allen. If Allen had not been so mentally composed, he might easily have been frightened. In fact, Professor Snape was quite surprised as well. Hardly any student ever took the initiative to visit his office, not even Slytherins.

"Sorry to disturb you, Professor, but I have some questions about Potions that I'd like to ask you." Allen was extremely polite, utterly unmoved by the terrifying aura Professor Snape gave off.

"Very well. Come in and speak." Professor Snape studied Allen for a while before stepping aside.

Allen entered Professor Snape's office with light footsteps. The walls were dark, and shelves along them held many large glass jars filled with all manner of disgusting things floating inside. Professor Snape sat behind his desk and gestured for Allen to take a seat.

"Professor, I have some different ideas regarding the Draught of Peace." Without wasting Professor Snape's time, Allen explained his ideas for improving the Draught of Peace.

"How dare you? A first-year student wants to brew a potion that appears in the O.W.L. examinations, and even improve it? Allen, I thought you were one of the few clear-headed students in this school. It seems that spending so much time with Mr. Harry Potter has given you his arrogant habits as well." Professor Snape clearly did not believe Allen possessed such skill in potion-making.

Allen was not discouraged. In just a few words, he briefly introduced his proposed improvements to Professor Snape. Professor Snape had intended to drive Allen away, but after hearing Allen's ideas, he seemed deeply
