Not long after they left the platform, Hermione ran toward Mr. and Mrs. Granger, who were smiling and waving at them. Mr. Granger hugged his daughter, lifted her up, spun her around a few times, and ruffled the bushy hair on top of her head.

For Mr. and Mrs. Granger, having a little witch in the family and seeing the magical world had already been astonishing enough, but today, for the first time in their lives, they saw a ghost.

And now he was being introduced to a ghost, which left Mr. Granger utterly terrified. He looked around and found that the people nearby seemed unable to see them; a ghost had appeared openly in the station just like that, yet the pedestrians coming and going turned a blind eye.
