In Diagon Alley, Herpo sat down opposite Allen and rested both hands on his cobra-shaped cane.

Allen's back was ramrod straight. Facing the faint pressure radiating from the other man, his back tightened, and he felt as if his blood flow were being squeezed, leaving his head a little dizzy. Luna had told him this was only an avatar of the Grim Reaper, one with no real power, not the true body descending, and that it did not yet pose a true threat to them. But as a mortal, he could still feel the suppression coming from the other party's status as a true god.

"Would you like some?" Struggling to hide his wariness and discomfort in front of a true god's avatar, Allen pushed the stall's menu toward Herpo.

The pressure the other party placed on Allen now was different from what he had felt when he saw the Grim Reaper in the Underworld beyond the Veil. The Grim Reaper he had seen back then had been almost impossible to look at directly; merely approaching him had seemed enough to suffocate Allen.
