Allen sat in his office. On his desk lay two wooden wands and two Firebolt Flying Broomsticks. He had just taken a small kettle out of his pouch when he heard a soft cough behind him. Allen set the kettle on the desk and looked up. In a landscape oil painting that had originally hung in the room, the gray-robed wizard Mithrandir had appeared.
"Professor Allen Harris, I just saw Snape enter Dumbledore's Headmaster's Office," an aged voice said.
"Thank you for your trouble." Out of courtesy, Allen stood and gave the portrait a slight bow of thanks. Mithrandir bowed in return, then left the frame.
Then Allen unscrewed the kettle's lid, took out a small wooden box, gently pinched up a hair from inside, and let it fall into the potion bottle. The hair quickly merged with the potion inside.
