Since their father could not return right away, Allen and Luna went downstairs to the Arcane Garden.

The garden floor was covered with fertile soil roughly a foot thick, along with a few areas of special geological terrain. The scattered magical symbols and Ancient Runes in the room ensured that, even without sunlight, the plants could obtain the growing environments each of them needed.

The young Unicorns, not yet mature enough to turn silver-white, still had golden coats. They frolicked happily among the thriving plants, but thanks to a mutual compromise with Hermione, they knew their limits. Even when roughhousing, they had already learned to avoid the precious plants grown in the terrain—only occasionally sneaking a few bites when they got greedy.
