Allen opened the window and let Owl Lancelot fly in to perch in front of him. Looking both majestic and rather elegant, it lifted its left leg. After Allen untied the letter from its leg, he wanted to feed it some of the snacks he had prepared for Anka, but the moment the letter was removed, the owl proudly spread its wings, flew out through the window, and vanished into the night.
Allen shook his head, stopping the thought that had flashed through his mind—if Anka had been here, this owl would have taken a vicious beating. He opened the letter and found it was from Arthur Weasley. Like Remus Lupin, Arthur Weasley had also mentioned Dumbledore's words in the letter.
The only difference was that Arthur's tone made it clear he was perfectly aware of what was going on. Dumbledore hoped to use their mouths to persuade Allen. It was not that Arthur was much smarter or sharper than Remus, only that Arthur had worked at the Ministry of Magic for many years and was more used to and clearer about the twists and turns of social interaction and conversation. His guess matched Allen's judgment.
Closing the letter, Allen felt a warmth in his heart. Whether it was Remus or Arthur, regardless of whether Dumbledore had deliberately borrowed their voices, they truly were worried about him and had passed the information on to him. It was just that by now, Allen was instead a little worried about why there had been no movement from Sirius Black yet... A reckless man charging straight in was not frightening; what was frightening was a reckless man thinking about how to charge in...
Unable to ask him outright, Allen stopped pondering. He spread out a sheet of parchment, dipped the quill into the
