"The pain caused by magic went far beyond physical harm... Bella, don't talk to me like that. You only wanted to spare Rodolphus a more painful punishment." Narcissa stared steadily at Bella and spoke in a low voice, her tone softening. Bella did not like Rodolphus, but since she had already spoken up for him in the stone chamber earlier, her suggestion to Voldemort could not have been simply because she wanted Rodolphus to suffer more.
"If he can't even endure that tiny bit of pain and still screams so loudly, he's truly useless..." Bella said disdainfully. "Forget that piece of trash, Cissy. Tell me something else. Something happy."
Narcissa immediately thought of something she had been turning over in her mind lately, but the moment her gaze touched Bella, she hesitated again, her brows drawing together, her pale chin lifting as she turned aside.
"Why aren't you talking?" Bellatrix's gaze circled Narcissa's face, and she urged impatiently, "Don't use the Occlumency I taught you on me!"
"Bella... Andy's daughter is getting married." Narcissa turned her head, looked at her eldest sister's face, which was strikingly similar to their second sister's in her memories, and simply said what had been on her mind.
"Shut up! I told you to say something happy! Not to bring up that traitor Andromeda!" Bellatrix screamed sharply, her furious eyes glaring viciously at Narcissa. "She's already been removed from the family!"
"So what, Bella? There's no one left who can restrain us now!" Narcissa said in a low, vicious voice.
"But she betrayed us! All because of that damned Mudblood." Bellatrix stared fixedly at Narcissa and licked her thin lips with the tip of her tongue. "The connection between the three of us was supposed to be unique!"
