Allen hurriedly reached out through his Perception Mark, sensing his second brother's location.
"Lenn just Apparated into the Netherlands. I'll go bring him back," Allen said with an awkward yet polite smile. "Just now, I released two Tom Riddles with him... then the Basilisk was about to be born, so I came back first..."
"Even if he had to Apparate in stages, he's still taking long enough..." Owen nodded, then pointed at the Basilisk coiled around Allen's arm. "Don't take it with you. If it makes eye contact with some Muggle on the street, it'll cause trouble for us whether anyone dies or not."
After hearing her father say that, Daisy looked at the Basilisk, then at Allen, her eyes shifting. "Merope is this close to you. If Anka sees it, that one might swallow this little snake alive in one bite..."
Allen froze. The image of Anka relentlessly chasing Fawkes through the sky above Hogwarts instantly surfaced in his mind... A Phoenix could be reborn from fire, so it was not suited to using an Enslavement Gem, and Allen would not use one on magical creatures like Anka and Gaia, whose relationship with him was that of friends.
He stopped, teased the snake's chin again, then glanced at Emily, who was looking rather eager off to the side. Allen held Merope in his palm and said to it in Parseltongue, "I'll find you a good master. Remember to behave. She'll give you lots of tasty food."
