Uchiha Ying Yue decided to help Might Gang as repayment for teaching him the Eight Inner Gates.
In the original story, Might Duy opened the Gate of Death in a fit of fury and kicked the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist into the Lucky Trio. Might Guy, meanwhile, also opened the Gate of Death in a fit of fury, and with one move, Night Guy, nearly kicked the story to its end.
Might Duy's potential should have been no worse than Might Guy's, but in the original story, Might Duy was just a perennial Genin. Without systematic training and resources to support him, the medicinal baths needed to repair the hidden injuries caused by Taijutsu training were very expensive.
But Might Gang's hidden injuries had already left him unable to fight, and the Might Clan's financial situation was dire. This undoubtedly hindered Might Duy's potential.
To Uchiha Ying Yue, spending a few million ryo to earn the goodwill of a future Kage Level, or even a super-Kage-level, powerhouse was an absolute bargain.
After training one day, Uchiha Ying Yue found Might Gang, intending to formally propose supporting the Might Clan.
"Senior Might Gang, there's something I'd like to discuss with you." Uchiha Ying Yue got straight to the point, his voice full of sincerity.
Might Gang paused in surprise, then smiled and nodded. "Ying Yue, go ahead. What is it?"
Uchiha Ying Yue took a deep breath and gathered his thoughts. "Senior Might Gang, I know that you and Duy have kept up your training, and that Taijutsu puts great demands on the body. I don't know the details of training in the Eight Inner Gates, but I understand that resources like medicinal baths are essential for healing hidden injuries and strengthening the body."
Might Gang fell silent for a moment, as if he already knew what Ying Yue was about to say.
Uchiha Ying Yue continued, "I'd like to offer you some financial support so you can get better training resources."
Hearing Ying Yue's offer, the smile gradually faded from Might Gang's face, replaced by a serious expression.
He slowly shook his head, his tone firm but gentle. "Ying Yue, I know you mean well, but I can't accept your support."
Uchiha Ying Yue knew that Might Gang had a strong sense of pride. He understood why the other man was refusing, but he wasn't willing to give up.
"Senior Might Gang, I understand how you feel, but this isn't charity."
Uchiha Ying Yue's tone was sincere and firm. "I truly hope you can keep pursuing the limits of Taijutsu. Your guidance has taught me a great deal, too. Supporting you is a way for us to work toward a shared goal. I want to see you become the strongest Taijutsu shinobi."
Might Gang's expression softened, but he still seemed hesitant. "Ying Yue, I'm grateful for your kindness, but..."
Uchiha Ying Yue took a step forward and spoke earnestly. "Senior, if you refuse my support, I'll be disappointed. Taijutsu training takes a long-term commitment and investment, and the right resources can make your and Duy's training far more effective."
As Might Gang listened to Ying Yue, he began to waver.
Everything Uchiha Ying Yue said was true. Taijutsu training did require a great deal of resources, and his physical condition meant he could no longer afford the expense.
Might Gang fell silent for a moment, then finally sighed. "Ying Yue, I understand your intentions. Since you're so sincere, I won't refuse any longer. I, Might Gang, will repay your support in my own way."
Uchiha Ying Yue smiled warmly. "Senior, training alongside you has already taught me so much. This isn't a one-sided gift."
Might Gang nodded, both grateful and relieved.
With Uchiha Ying Yue's support, the Might Clan's training conditions improved significantly.
They resumed regular medicinal baths to heal their hidden injuries and bought more equipment and resources for Taijutsu training.
Might Duy's physical condition gradually improved, and the Uchiha's Taijutsu training reached a new level.
This investment of mine had not only helped the Might Clan but also planted a powerful seed for the future.
At night, just after Uchiha Ying Yue had finished his training for the day and was preparing to rest, a man dressed in the robes of an Uchiha elder arrived without warning.
The man was tall, his face lined with age, but his eyes still gleamed sharply.
Ying Yue recognized him as an elder of the Uchiha Clan—Uchiha Setsuna.
Uchiha Setsuna had once been one of the Uchiha Clan's strongest shinobi. He had inherited the will of the former clan head, Uchiha Madara, and was a leading figure among the Uchiha Clan's Hawks.
He had been deeply dissatisfied with Second Hokage Tobirama Senju's policies. When he was young, he had even plotted to assassinate Second Hokage Tobirama Senju, but Tobirama discovered the plan and had him imprisoned.
Even now, he remained one of the most powerful elders within the Uchiha Clan.
Uchiha Ying Yue was surprised by Uchiha Setsuna's visit, but quickly regained his composure and invited Setsuna inside.
Uchiha Setsuna entered the room, looked around, then sat down and fixed Ying Yue with a piercing gaze.
"Ying Yue, I have something to discuss with you." Uchiha Setsuna's voice was low and forceful, his tone carrying an authority that brooked no refusal.
Uchiha Ying Yue nodded, inviting him to continue.
Setsuna got straight to the point. "Ying Yue, you're of mixed Uchiha and Senju blood, and carry the blood of both clans. I know that many people have recognized your talent and strength, and your future will be far more than that of an ordinary shinobi. I came here today to ask you to consider a higher goal—to become Hokage."
Uchiha Ying Yue paused, clearly not expecting Setsuna to make such a direct suggestion.
A flood of questions rose in Uchiha Ying Yue's mind, but he decided to listen quietly first.
Uchiha Setsuna continued, "Ever since Senju Tobirama became Hokage, the Uchiha Clan's position in the village has been suppressed. Second Hokage Tobirama Senju is prejudiced against us Uchiha. He believes we're naturally unstable, has settled us on the outskirts of the village, and forced the duties of the Military Police Force upon us. In truth, he's isolated us from the rest of the village."
Uchiha Setsuna's voice was full of anger and resentment, as if the bitterness he had kept buried for years had finally found an outlet.
"After Tobirama died, his student Sarutobi Hiruzen inherited the Hokage Position, but he's still just as wary and discriminatory toward us Uchiha. Konoha may appear peaceful and prosperous, but the Uchiha Clan's position is already precarious. If we go on like this, we'll only be pushed to the margins—and eventually wiped out."
Uchiha Ying Yue listened in silence, gradually realizing the weight of Setsuna's words.
As a member of the Uchiha who had grown up in Konoha, he understood something of his clan's situation.
Uchiha Setsuna's views might have been extreme, but they weren't without merit.
At least in the original story, the Uchiha Clan was wiped out. One could say that Uchiha Madara and Uchiha Setsuna, who had inherited Madara's will, had seen what was coming.
