The mist limited their vision. The Rain Ninja had also concealed themselves, and the two couldn't see where the enemy was.
They exchanged a doubtful look, then nodded.
They summoned their weapons and unleashed a furious barrage of kunai and shuriken toward the spot where the Rain Ninja had stopped earlier.
The weapons appeared from their wrist guards in an unending stream. Like machine-gun fire, they swept over the area where the Rain Ninja squad had paused, blindly blanketing it with attacks.

After the earlier Great Fireball attack, the Rain Ninja had hidden themselves in the mist. Now they were caught in a sweeping barrage, and suffered heavy casualties amid a chorus of screams.
Shuriken whistled overhead like machine-gun bullets. The Rain Ninja couldn't move, but they couldn't escape, either.
The Rain Ninja who had been lucky enough to survive behind tree trunks or within the canopy gasped for breath, tense and terrified.

As the Rain Ninja screamed, Salamander Hanzo could no longer hold back. He performed a Water Release technique. A massive torrent appeared out of nowhere and began to spin.
It extinguished the flames caused by the Fire Style Ninjutsu and blocked the endless weapons Uchiha Chiho and Uchiha Hyaku had been firing.

Protected by the wall of water, the Rain
