"Weren't you going to look for your mural? Stop chattering in my ear."
Anaxa was at a loss for words.
The Reason Titan was childish beyond belief. Not only did Cthulhu offer no useful wisdom, but the Titan also never stopped talking.
"I was curious how you would keep both sides happy while they had their sights set on you, so I came to listen."
Cthulhu smiled faintly.
"But at first glance, this Kenis seems far more ruthless than Aglaea..."
"Why seek her protection? Did you sense your death approaching and decide to hand over your body?"

Ignoring Cthulhu's teasing, Anaxa kept walking.
He had gone only a few steps when someone called out at him.
"Hah. They let a blasphemous scholar in here?"
Anaxa turned. The speaker was an elderly priest.
"What are you staring at?" The priest stroked his stubbled chin and said with contempt:
"Anaxagoras, I thought you'd died in the Black Tide along with the other scholars."
Anaxa looked at him without expression. "As a priest of Kephale, don't you know to respect the dead?"
"What a joke!"
"You blasphemous heretics don't deserve the Supreme God's respect!"
The priest narrowed his eyes.
"A friendly warning: keep your presumptuous words to yourself at Dawn Cloud Cliff."
"I'm no longer the lowly assistant priest who had to watch what everyone else thought of him. I have plenty of ways to deal with you!"
Anaxa rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
"To think the God of Creation could produce a believer like you. I can't decide whether to laugh or pity him."
