"Why don't you try running by yourself instead of pulling things?"
Tuozi seemed to understand the word "run." It immediately shook off the tow rope over its shoulders and freed itself from the cart.
First, it bounced in place twice, then looked toward the crooked tree Yan Huan had pointed at.
"Right, run to that tree, then run back."
Having received its orders, Tuozi pushed off with all four limbs and charged forward!
Yan Huan raised an eyebrow.
Tuozi's four stubby legs churned at an astonishing frequency, moving so fast they nearly left afterimages as its claws kicked up clouds of dust.
But its actual speed... was barely any faster than its previous leisurely walk.
Tuozi gave it everything it had. Its muscles tensed all over, its little face turned bright red from the effort, and strained snorting sounds came from its throat.
Yet the ground seemed to possess tremendous stickiness, and after struggling for quite a while, it had barely moved less than twenty meters.
And its running path was not even straight.
It wobbled crookedly along like a drunken ball of fluff.
One moment it veered left, the next it veered right, trudging toward the crooked tree in an incredibly roundabout, inefficient manner.

Perhaps it was too focused on running, or perhaps the ground was uneven, but with more than ten meters still between it and the crooked tree, Tuozi's front paw accidentally caught on a small protruding stone.
