Cyrene's own young voice rang out, touched with a hint of stubbornness:
"Even so, I don't like tears!"
Phainon's voice as a child sounded a little older than his years:
"'Aedes Elysiae' was named for the sorrow of the gods..."
"But you're always laughing, as if nothing ever troubles you."
Little Fairy tried to understand and sum it up:
"Cyrene is... someone who doesn't like tears. Someone who laughs a lot."
Cyrene's voice from the past came through, gentle but firm:
"Of course. Because the world has been kind to me."
"So I grew up kind."
Little Fairy learned from her, its glow softening:
"Cyrene is kind, loves beauty, and can write poetry."
"Easy. I can do that. I'll learn."
Aglaea's wistful voice came through again:
"As the song on the wind says, Flame-Chasing is a journey of endless loss."
Cyrene answered with playfulness and resolve:
"But even if everything is carried away by the wind, some things won't change so easily."
"Like my height, Teacher Tiba's childlike spirit, and Aglaea's beauty!"
Little Fairy caught her tone, its light flickering with delight:
"Cyrene is someone who won't grow taller, who can talk, who remains even after everything else is carried away by the wind."
"Cyrene is the one who always giggles at the end of every sentence, like a little tail?"
"Easy. Did I get it?"
Gradually, Little Fairy stopped stammering. Its speech grew smooth and natural, its pitch and tone identical to Cyrene's, as though it had become another voice of hers.
Phainon's heavy voice came through:
"I promise you, the pain... will pass in an instant."
Cyrene's reply followed, dispelling the gloom like sunlight:
"Come on, don't make things so serious."
"What we're about to embark on is a real Hero's Journey. So..."
"Give me a smile, okay?"
