She suddenly turned around, putting her back to Yan Huan below, aimed her rear at him, then squatted down.
"?"
Yan Huan froze, then blurted out:
"Second Uncle... why are you pointing your butt at me?" His voice was full of confusion.
"Do you need to take a dump?"
Firefly had not even had time to answer.
Then came a muffled sound.
Splat—
A lump of brownish-yellow, foul-smelling sludge landed squarely on Yan Huan's head.
"?"
Firefly looked down, and her body stiffened.
She could feel the sea breeze from high above brushing against her exposed back, bringing a chill.
But that chill was nothing compared to the scorching embarrassment and faint Ominous Premonition rising within her.
Yan Huan's question still hung in the air, laden with confusion.
"...?"
Slowly, agonizingly slowly, he raised a hand to touch the top of his head.
The texture. Warm. Sticky.
It carried an... indescribable smell, like fermented organic matter mixed with the briny stench of the sea and some unspeakably sour rot.
Yan Huan's hand stopped in midair.
He lowered his head and looked at his fingers.
At his fingertips clung a little... brownish-yellow substance, somewhere between solid and liquid.
Time froze.
On the observation deck, Firefly stiffly turned around inch by inch.
Her face was so red it seemed ready to bleed, her blue-pink eyes wide with horror, humiliation, disbelief, and a trace of despair.
"Um..."
She looked at Yan Huan below, standing there dumbstruck with a conspicuous lump of crap right in the middle of his head, then recalled how she had just bent over with her back to him, her rear aimed at him...
A terrifying possibility, horrifying enough to send her soul departing from her body, formed in her mind.
"N-No... it wasn't... me..." Firefly's voice shook beyond recognition
