Old Audie looked at Sampo and asked:
"Sounds like you have an idea?"
Sampo chuckled.
"Of course, boss."
"I don't think the problem was with the cars or the drivers. It was with the people who went near the corridor just now!"
"Oh, the people near the corridor?" Old Audie's eyes lit up.
"Exactly."
Sampo explained:
"Those five supercars all passed our airship as they climbed."
"The moment they passed, someone could have tampered with them!"
"A reasonably capable Pathwalker could easily toss miniature bombs onto all five cars in a flash."
Old Audie's frown deepened.
There had been no guests in the corridor, only the airship's attendants.
And not all those attendants belonged to the Clover Family. His first mate had recruited them.
If they had the skills, they got the job.
A mole among the attendants would be trouble.
"..."
Old Audie turned to Sampo first.
"Then... when did you start working here? Why don't I remember you at all?"
"Hm? Huh?"
Seeing Old Audie stare at him, Sampo gave him a fawning smile.
"I've been here a while. You're a busy man, so it's only natural you wouldn't remember me."
"..."
Audie naturally didn't believe a word of it. He asked the first mate for the records of every attendant.
Several entries caught his attention.
"Your name's Sampo?" Old Audie glanced at him over the records.
"From Jarilo-VI, and you started less than two days ago?"
"That's right." Sampo nodded repeatedly.
"I was just a tourist, but after what happened here the other day, you were short on staff. I figured I'd see if I could land a position."
Old Audie said nothing more after hearing Sampo's explanation.
Coming from an obscure planet, Sampo probably had no grudge against the Clover Family.
Unless someone had bought him
