Taking the Enhancement Potion

In the basement, Lu Yan sat on the floor meditating, slowly recovering his mental strength so he would be in the best possible condition to take the Enhancement Potion.

As its name suggested, the Enhancement Potion was used to strengthen the body. It was common in the Wizard World, and any formal wizard could brew it to fortify their own body or train some knight attendants.

The difficult part, though, was finding the ingredients. Not one of the required materials could be found in the Ninja World, so Lu Yan had to search for substitutes with similar properties. That made things much harder. If not for the Sharingan's ability to observe things in minute detail, he might not even have found suitable substitutes, much less brewed the potion.

Take Senju Tree sap, for example. It came from trees created by Senju Hashirama using Wood Release, and was brimming with vitality. Yet the people of Konoha regarded it as nothing more than high-end lumber, using it to make furniture.

After Lu Yan discovered its abundant vitality with his Sharingan, he used a technique unique to wizards to extract the essence of the Senju Tree. This turned it into a precious ingredient that could substitute for treant blood.

"All set."

After meditating for two hours, Lu Yan rose, looking refreshed. He walked over to the workbench and picked up the test tube glowing purple, then went a short distance away and sat cross-legged before drinking the Enhancement Potion in one gulp.

The potion was cool on his tongue, with a hint of sweetness. But once it reached his stomach, it burned through his body like a ball of fire. Lu Yan endured the searing pain, wrapping his spirituality around the potion's scorching properties and carefully sending small amounts through his bloodstream to every part of his body.

It took a full five hours, until the sky was just beginning to brighten, for Lu Yan to completely digest the potion's effects.

His height visibly increased by five centimeters. His body swelled and contracted again and again, until it finally became incredibly firm and compact.

"Phew. That feels great."

Lu Yan stretched. His bones immediately crackled, and he stood up from the floor.

Although any formal wizard could brew the Enhancement Potion, its effects were no less potent. Even a knight at the peak of the Grand Knight level could use it to break through their limits and truly reach the Transcendent level.

But its energy was so violent that it was a deadly poison to ordinary people and knights below the Grand Knight level. They couldn't even touch a drop.

"Water Mirror Technique."

Lu Yan formed a hand seal, and a mirror made of water appeared in midair, smooth and reflective. He stood in front of it and looked at his reflection. Although he was only nine, children in the Ninja World generally matured quickly, and Lu Yan was already 1.65 meters tall. Dressed in the Uchiha Clan's distinctive black clothes, his face had begun to take on sharper angles, and he looked handsome and upright.

"Obito, if you looked as good as me, you wouldn't have any trouble getting Rin."

Lu Yan admired himself in the mirror, thinking he was far better than Obito, whose sense of style was so painfully lame.

"Disperse."

After dismissing this original everyday spell, Lu Yan began preparing for his upcoming journey to another world.

After crossing into the Wizard World, Lu Yan had discovered that the culprit behind his transmigration was the Stone Bead around his neck.

The Stone Bead had belonged to Lu Yan's grandfather. After his grandfather passed away, Lu Yan had kept it close as a memento. He never expected it to lead him into such an extraordinary life.

After conducting some tests, Lu Yan discovered he could use the unknown energy inside the Stone Bead to travel between worlds and record coordinates. The energy would slowly recover, but not quickly.

Beyond that, Lu Yan couldn't figure out anything else. The Stone Bead seemed to have a mind of its own, but it paid him no attention. When he tried feeding it his own energy, it spat it back out as if in disgust.

In the Wizard World, Lu Yan had planned to wait until he became a formal wizard before traveling again, since he wasn't strong enough yet. Unexpectedly, he died, and his soul transmigrated once more—this time to the Naruto World.

This time, Lu Yan planned to take the initiative, seeking out resources to strengthen himself and change his own fate, as well as the fates of the Uchiha Clan and those around him.

"Water, food, clothes, Explosive Tags, soldier pills, Kunai, Healing Liquid, another bottle of Enhancement Potion, gold and silver, all kinds of materials... That should do it."

After checking the supplies in the Kamui Dimension, Lu Yan found everything more or less in order. He had to thank Danzo for his generous contributions. What a great guy.

After tidying up the basement and erasing all traces, Lu Yan went to his bedroom to fix up his appearance. He didn't want to look so different that anyone would notice something was off.

"The main thing is my height. But I've been gradually adding height to my insoles, so taking them out should be enough. I'm also sturdier than before, so I'll need to change into something looser."

Lu Yan carefully adjusted his appearance in front of the mirror, trying to look as much like his former self as possible.

By the time he was done, it was full daylight. Lu Yan gathered his ninja gear and headed for the village gate to meet up with his teammates. Today was the day they were leaving the village on a mission.

When Lu Yan arrived at the gate, Namikaze Minato, Kakashi, and Rin were already there. He quickly joined them, presented their mission orders to the ninja on guard, and headed out of the village.

After half a day of rushing along, they found themselves surrounded by towering, dense forest. Lu Yan noticed that Rin was gradually running out of stamina and called to Namikaze Minato at the front. "Sensei, let's take a break."

Namikaze Minato glanced back and saw that Rin was also tiring. He nodded, stopped, and said, "We'll rest here for an hour."

After they had eaten and drunk their fill, the group gathered together, and Namikaze Minato began explaining their mission. "Ever since the Third Kazekage died, Sunagakure and our Hidden Leaf Village have had constant clashes. Now they've even started stationing troops near our border. Our mission is to scout the border and find out the strength of the troops stationed there. Stay alert and be careful."

"Yes!"

Lu Yan, Kakashi, and Rin replied in unison.

After three days of hurried travel, Lu Yan and the others were all covered in dust by the time they finally reached a small town near the Land of Wind's border.

"Sunagakure's ninja will be stopping at the town ahead to replenish their supplies. It's a complicated place, with spies from all the villages. If we go in together, we'll draw too much attention. We have to enter separately."

As he spoke, Namikaze Minato turned and handed a Kunai inscribed with a formula to each of Kakashi and Lu Yan. His voice grew solemn. "Obito, go in with Rin. Kakashi and I will go in separately. If you run into danger, I'll be there right away."

"What an opportunity!" Lu Yan's eyes lit up. He addressed Namikaze Minato with earnest conviction. "Sensei, I think Kakashi and Rin should go in together. Kakashi's been distracted lately, so it'd be better for Rin to keep an eye on him."

"You..." Kakashi began, but before he could finish, Namikaze Minato nodded and cut him off. "That makes sense. Rin, you're with Kakashi."

"Yes."

Rin nodded, a little excited, and answered at once.

"Then change your appearances. Let's go, and be careful." As soon as Namikaze Minato finished speaking, he darted forward.

"Yes!"

Lu Yan and the other two split up as well, darting off in two different directions.
