"Ziye, you're awake! I heard you were hurt fighting a powerful monster yesterday. Are you feeling better?"

As soon as Goku saw Ziye, he hurried over and asked with concern.

"I'm fine now!"

Ziye shook his head.

"I'm so jealous! You got to fight such a powerful monster! I can't believe I fell asleep yesterday!"

Hearing that, Ziye understood Master Roshi's intentions. It seemed he still didn't want Goku to know the truth, probably because he was worried Goku wouldn't be able to handle finding out that he had caused his own grandfather's death. Ziye accepted the decision and had no intention of bringing it up.

"Since you were injured last night, you can skip training today. But you'd better not miss tomorrow!"

Master Roshi said sternly.

"Got it."

Ziye quickly nodded.

"Then get some rest. Goku, Krillin, let's go!"

With that, Master Roshi left with the two of them.

After they had gone, Ziye headed to the forest where he'd fought the night before. After searching carefully, he finally found the familiar blue-green glow in a deep pit.

Ziye hurried over. This time, the glow looked different from before: its color was much deeper, and the number inside had changed. It read "+50." Ziye couldn't help feeling overjoyed!

Without hesitation, he reached out and touched the glow. The familiar warmth flowed through him once more, and a steady stream of power filled every part of his body.

"What an incredible feeling!"

Feeling the changes within him, Ziye smiled with satisfaction. Then his expression turned serious, and he assumed a fighting stance.

"Ka...me...ha...me...ha!"

Boom!

A white beam of energy shot out, swallowing a huge swath of the forest. Its destructive power left Ziye stunned.

"What terrifying power!"

Ziye couldn't help exclaiming.

Afterward, Ziye did some simple training in the forest. Once he had fully mastered this new power, he returned to Kame House!

With nothing else to do there, Ziye turned on the television. It was his first time watching TV since arriving in this world, and he felt a little conflicted.

Before long, the sun set, and Master Roshi returned to Kame House with a weary Goku and Krillin. The moment the two walked in, they rushed to the table and ravenously devoured the food!

"Goku, how was training today?" Ziye asked curiously with a faint smile.

"All we did was deliver milk and plow fields. We didn't learn any martial arts at all!"

Krillin rolled his eyes and complained.

Whack!

At that, Master Roshi smacked Krillin's bald head with his staff and scolded him:

"You want to learn martial arts, but you can't even handle a little hard work?"

"I'm sorry, Master Mutten. I was wrong!" Krillin said apologetically.

After dinner, Krillin and Goku, exhausted from the day, went straight back to their room and fell fast asleep. Ziye had meant to help Launch clear the dishes, but she firmly refused. With no other choice, he went back to his room too.

Achoo!

Just as Ziye returned to his room, Launch sneezed in the kitchen. Her hair instantly turned golden, and then, somehow, she pulled out a machine gun and started firing into the rooms.

"You little bastards! Making me do all this work? You're asking for it!"

The racket woke Goku and Krillin, who had only just fallen asleep. With Launch firing wildly, everyone could only flee. Though none of them were afraid of her, they didn't want to hurt Launch, so they let her vent her anger.

Her temper flared up as quickly as it died down. When Launch sneezed again, her gentle personality returned, and everyone finally relaxed and went back to their rooms to sleep.

The night passed without incident. Early the next morning, Master Roshi woke Ziye, Goku, and Krillin, and they began another day of training. They delivered milk in the morning, plowed fields for farmers in the late morning, and worked at a construction site in the afternoon. Their days were packed from start to finish.

For more than half a month, the three of them kept up the same tedious training, and before long, they all began to complain.

"Old man, stop making us do odd jobs! When are you going to teach us how to fight?" Goku grumbled.

Master Roshi flew into a rage. He turned toward the three and shouted, "Kids are so ignorant! If you don't build a solid foundation, there's no point learning martial arts!"

Then he pointed to a huge boulder nearby. "See that? If you want me to teach you martial arts, move that boulder in front of you!"

Krillin furrowed his brow and said incredulously, "How could we possibly move a boulder that big? That's not something a human can do!"

"Who says?"

Master Roshi set down his cane and put both hands against the boulder. Then he pushed hard, and it moved several meters at once.

"See? You can only reach this level by training my way!"

Krillin was so astonished by Master Roshi's lesson that he could only nod repeatedly.

Goku, on the other hand, quickly ran over to the boulder. He concentrated all his strength in his hands and shoved. The boulder immediately began to move.

"Old man, look! I did it!"

Goku exclaimed excitedly.

"Th-this... I didn't mean this boulder. I meant that one. I'm old, you know. I got the sizes mixed up. Hahaha!"

Master Roshi scratched his head and laughed awkwardly, then quickly pointed to an even larger boulder nearby.

"That huge rock?"

Krillin shuddered at the sight of it. Goku was still unconvinced, though, and hurried forward to try again.

But no matter how hard Goku pushed this time, the boulder didn't budge an inch!

"Let me try!"

Just as Master Roshi was about to boast, Ziye stepped forward and walked up to the boulder.

"Haha, there's no need to try! You haven't trained enough. It's impossible!"

"That's not necessarily true!"

Ziye sneered, put both hands against the boulder, and pushed with all his strength!

Rumble!

The next moment, the enormous boulder actually moved several meters.

"How is that possible?!"

Master Roshi's jaw dropped!

"Ziye, you're amazing!"
