"If that's the case, then go on in! Be careful, and don't you dare die in there!"

At that, Ziye glanced at Lena and asked in confusion, "Aren't you coming in with me?"

"I'll stay here. Otherwise, I won't be able to explain things to Lord Asura. Good luck, little one!" Lena shook her head and said with a smile.

"All right!"

Turning around, Ziye walked up to the palace entrance. The dark surroundings gradually brightened, and once his vision returned, he felt reassured and boldly stepped inside.

Before he even reached the entrance, a cacophony of noise came from within the palace. Ziye looked inside and saw tens of thousands of demons gathered there. Each radiated a chilling aura. They sat in groups, drinking and eating meat as if they were in the human world—but most of what they ate was human flesh. The bloody sight made his stomach turn.

On the raised platform inside the palace sat a pale young man. His face looked seven parts human and three parts ghost. Beside him sat a beautiful young human woman, her face pale and filled with terror.

"What a revolting bunch of creatures!" Looking at the monsters who fed on living people, Ziye furrowed his brow and muttered in disgust.

His voice wasn't very loud. Under normal circumstances, it wouldn't have stood a chance of cutting through the din. But nearly every powerful figure in the Demon Realm had gathered here, and those with sharp senses noticed Ziye at once.

"A human actually dares to break into the Demon Realm? How interesting!"

As Asura's voice rang out from the raised platform, the hall fell silent. Everyone's gaze settled on Ziye.

"Where did this brat come from? He's got such tender skin. I wasn't full just now, so I'll have you for an appetizer!"

Once Ziye was exposed to everyone's view, some of the demons below licked their lips. In an instant, dozens of hideous monsters rushed toward him.

"I only came here to farm some experience, but now you've made me really unhappy. So you're all going to die!"

Ziye's expression was grave as he watched the demons coolly, as if he were looking at corpses. Facing the fearsome, ferocious monsters, he didn't feel the slightest fear. He stamped his foot and charged straight into them.

His small body was immediately surrounded by the demons' enormous forms. In an instant, violent energy burst in every direction. Their immense power surged out, forming a huge black vortex that seemed ready to tear Ziye to pieces.

"Ka~me~ha~me~ha!"

At Ziye's furious shout, dazzling white light swallowed the black vortex completely. The demons nearby instantly crumbled and scattered.

"Dodon Ray!"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Ziye had no intention of letting the defeated demons escape. A series of golden energy blasts shot from his fingertips, piercing the demons' bodies in an instant and leaving dozens of them riddled with bloody holes.

"What a ruthless brat!"

At the sight, all the demons drew in a sharp breath. He had killed so many powerful figures of the Demon Realm in the blink of an eye. The demons who had been about to attack immediately stopped in their tracks.

The demons of the Demon Realm weren't stupid. The brat in front of them was far beyond what they could handle; charging at him would be tantamount to throwing their lives away. The atmosphere grew strange, and all the demons turned their eyes toward Asura on the raised platform.

"What an interesting human brat! Looks like I'll have to step in today!"

Sensing the awkward atmosphere, Asura spoke coldly. Then he rose from his seat with a laugh, and every demon knelt in unison.

"You're the ruler of the Demon Realm, Asura?" Ziye looked him over and asked.

Asura ignored him. With a cold laugh, he said, "Human brat! Do you know what happens to those who trespass in the Demon Realm?"

"My whole reason for coming here was to defeat you. Do you think I care what happens to me?" Ziye replied calmly.

"Defeat me?"

"Hahaha!"

Hearing that, Asura let out a cold laugh, his face full of disdain. The demons below laughed so hard they could barely contain themselves.

"You'll pay for those words, brat!"

Asura's expression was impassive as he slowly raised his hands and clenched his fists. Two gray tornadoes, each several meters tall, appeared around him. The vortices collided with a piercing crash and moved toward Ziye. Every demon in their path fled in terror. The injured demons lying dead on the ground couldn't get away in time; they were chewed into bloody chunks, then turned to mist beneath the roaring tornadoes.

Ziye's expression tightened at the sight. He didn't dare be careless. He bent his knees slightly and brought his hands to his waist. A beam of white light shot out in an instant.

Boom!

The white Kamehameha collided with the roaring tornadoes. A moment later, Ziye's expression changed dramatically. His energy blast, caught between them, was cut into points of light, leaving no trace of its power!

"Die, brat!"

As Asura shouted, he shoved both hands forward. The two tornadoes suddenly sped up and hurtled toward Ziye.

Ziye didn't dare be careless. He quickly used all his strength to defend himself, forming a barrier around his body that held the vortices at bay!

Then the two began a true contest of strength. Ziye had just fought a major battle, and his power was clearly at a disadvantage. He quickly detonated the energy around his body. The immense explosion made the demons who had been itching to join in turn pale with fear.

As the explosion boomed, Ziye disappeared beneath a mass of broken stone and smoke. Then his aura burst forth, and he appeared before everyone once more.

"That move does have something to it!"

By now, Ziye's clothes had been torn in several places, and his arms and neck were covered in fine scratches.

"Now it's my turn!"

Ziye's gaze sharpened. His voice came out cold as he suddenly produced a green bean and popped it into his mouth. The next moment, his pale face regained its color, and the scratches on his body vanished.

"What?! How is this possible?"

Asura's expression darkened at the sight. The clash just now had taken most of his strength, and sweat had already soaked his back.
