Background / History

Chen Yuan was born to carpenter Chen Dashan. His mother died in childbirth, after which Chen Dashan married Li and had Chen Kai. Chen Yuan grew up neglected in favor of his half-brother, while working as a dock laborer and secretly using his Survival Path Panel to improve his earnings and body. When his family demanded regular payments to fund Chen Kai's martial training, he severed all ties with the Chen Family and left home. 1 2

He was taken in by his aunt Huang Juan and uncle Cheng Yong in Hundred Herb Lane.
