When we saw the final black shadow split from the middle-aged yin-yang master's body escape the valley, everyone frowned deeply.
It was clearly too late to chase after it.
But everyone immediately turned their attention to his corpse.
Master strode forward and smeared some of the blood from the corpse onto himself.

He was going to use the Soul-Seizing Curse to capture the middle-aged yin-yang master's soul.
Master formed the seals with incredible speed. Once he finished, he let out a low shout:
"Gather yin and unite yang, restrain the wicked dead. Should any dare defy, the heavenly law shall bind them.
Swiftly, swiftly, as the law decrees, command!"
The moment the command was uttered, the middle-aged yin-yang master's corpse suddenly jerked as though it were about to sit up. It was utterly bizarre.
White vapor continuously rose from Master's hand seals.
Everyone watched Master while keeping an eye on the surroundings, especially the direction in which the yin-yang master's primary soul had fled.
Yet second after second passed. Master kept it up for a full three minutes, but the yin-yang master's ghost was nowhere to be seen.
Instead, unable to withstand the impact of the spell, the corpse on the ground exploded with a bang. Its head was smashed to bits, leaving blood and brain matter everywhere.
Seeing this, everyone knew the spell had failed.
He had actually failed to capture the other man's soul, which was enough to show how powerful he was.
"What a pity. One of that yin-yang master's souls got away," Master said.
