Judging by their clothing and appearance, these were all modern-day ghosts.
They were very different from those heavily sea-transformed ghosts dressed in tattered rags.
These ghosts now included an Old Ghost in burial clothes, child ghosts in children's outfits, salesman ghosts in suits and ties, and even blonde Female Ghosts in bikinis...
"These ghosts should be wandering souls who entered from outside, just like me.
But it looks like they've all lost their minds.
What are they lining up here for?"
I muttered to myself.
I did not continue forward. Instead, like the other ghosts, I joined the back of the line and watched for a while.
About every five minutes, the four lines of ghosts took a step forward.
The ghosts neither spoke nor made any other movements, mechanical as robots.
After observing them closely for over ten minutes, I noticed that each ghost had a wisp of sinister energy on its forehead.
That wisp of sinister energy was probably what had robbed them of their minds and turned them into walking corpses.
After watching for a while longer and seeing no other sea-transformed ghosts appear, I began cutting in line.
Even when I cut in, they did not speak. They still wore blank expressions and even took a step back.
They seemed rather "polite," so I kept cutting ahead.
The four lines were quite long, seemingly stretching one or two hundred meters.
As I continued moving forward, I gradually spotted a red glow amid the white fog.
It flickered like flames, though its penetrating power was weak.
Besides the red glow, the fishy, salty sea air had also grown much stronger.
From time to time, I could hear brief, muffled cries of pain that quickly vanished...
