I had barely begun fighting the ghosts in the courtyard.
The evil spirits outside were already swarming toward us.
Their ghostly eyes, either gleaming white or pitch-black hollows, widened as they charged, faces twisted hideously and claws flailing.
They looked ready to tear me apart and devour me alive.
They kept roaring and shouting:
"Eat!"
"Let me eat him! Let me eat him!"
"He's mine! Mine!"
"..."
Suddenly, a big-mouthed evil ghost climbed onto the wall.
He stared at me and opened his bloody maw, its densely packed fangs resembling a silver carp's mouth.
He gazed at me excitedly and said:
"Let me eat him!"
As he spoke, he launched himself down at me.
With a howl, he snapped straight at my head.
Seeing him pounce, my expression hardened, and I thrust the Fish Bone Sword straight into his gaping maw:
"Eat my ass!"
That Big-Mouth Ghost was only an ordinary black-eyed evil ghost. He had no time to react.
With a bang, he burst into a ripple of black ghostfire.
At the same time, the evil spirits around me attacked.
Several ghostly tongues curled toward me. I swung the Fish Bone Sword in a few swift slashes, severing them on the spot and making the evil ghosts howl in agony.
That was not the end of it. A somewhat stronger Yellow-Clothed Level vengeful ghost appeared.
Yellow, vicious energy spread from her body in wisps.
She rose into the air five meters away from me, enveloping me in sinister baleful energy.
I killed one ghost with a slash and turned toward the yellow-robed vengeful ghost.
She stared at me, then suddenly opened her mouth and began screaming at the top of her lungs...
Her voice instantly turned into terrifying sound waves, as though she meant to shake me to death.
