Black Emperor moved quickly, digging three meters deep in just five minutes.
"Ningzi, come in and pick a skeleton yourself."
As he spoke, Black Emperor backed out from inside.
His body was also visibly shrinking...
I hurried over. The temperature inside the cave seemed to have risen again.
It was stiflingly hot, even reaching a searing level...
It should have something to do with the curse on this tomb.
I quickly crawled inside and saw quite a few skeletons at the very back.
Those skeletons were all buried in the soil.
They were piled atop one another.
But I was a doctor and could clearly identify every bone in the human body.
Protected by the rammed-earth layer, these bones had remained relatively intact despite so much time having passed.
I began digging with the shovel, following one skeleton and excavating it from head to toe.
The owners of these bones should all have been slaves from long ago, thrown into this Funeral Sacrifice pit.
They were then buried beneath rammed earth and suffocated to death alive in here.
They were all pitiful people...
But back then, such things had been perfectly normal.
After digging out one skeleton, I immediately took off my clothes and wrapped the bones up.
The bones had already come apart joint by joint and were scattered about, so they would need to be reassembled after we got back.
After wrapping up the bones, I crawled back out.
Once I emerged, I found that it was unbearably hot outside.
Several large rune-like characters had actually appeared on the cave ceiling.
I did not recognize them. They looked like ghostly scribbles, and they should have been Witch Runes.
They were rather similar to the Witch Runes on the Bronze Lamp...
These should have been the special curse inscriptions
