Inside the glass room behind us, strange gases spread through the air.
Some of it was tangible gas, but some was sinister ghost mist—an intangible substance visible only through my Heavenly Eye.
I had no idea what would happen if someone inhaled or came into contact with those gases.
One thing was certain: nothing good would come of it.
I tore and slashed apart all the sealing talismans on the prison cells. The evil entities inside began roaring like mad.
They seemed to sense that the sealing power on the cells was weakening—or vanishing.
They all began battering against their cells.
"Ow! Ow!" they howled.
The heavy iron cell doors were covered in special onmyoji runes.
As the evil entities and monsters rammed against them again and again, the runes on the cells began flashing continuously.
The constant booming of cells breaking echoed through the air, and the entire basement had descended into chaos.
Before I could even make it all the way out, the strange mist from the glass room had already spread into several cells.
Inside those cells were male ghosts stitched together into one body, a long-haired Female Ghost resembling Sadako,
and a humanoid turtle monster with sharp fangs.
As they howled and smashed into their cells, they inhaled the colorful mist.
In that instant, every one of those monsters and evil ghosts shuddered, their faces twisting in pain.
Then they let out hoarse screams of "Ah! Ah!" in unbearable agony...
But the next second, an even stranger scene unfolded.
The conjoined stitched ghost inside one cell instantly mutated.
Its body twisted, and fleshy lumps resembling pus-filled boils sprouted all over it.
The turtle shell of the humanoid turtle monster cracked with sharp snaps, while its flesh and blood vessels rapidly grew.
