Encountered Again, Entering the Misty Domain Once More

The gate leading to the Nine Corpse Tower vanished. Though it was strange, it could no longer surprise us.

After coming here and witnessing so many bizarre, mysterious, and uncanny things,

a massive stone gate disappearing seemed utterly ordinary by comparison.

After all, this place was a Spirit Illusion Ghost Domain. Nothing here could surprise us much anymore.

Up ahead, the rooster's "cock-a-doodle-doo" rang out again.

The rooster turned its head back, just as it had before, seeming to urge us to hurry.

"Keep up!"

No one lingered any longer. Gritting our teeth, we continued running after the rooster.

Gray mist filled the surroundings, thick with the aura of death.

When we had come through before, there had been many Misty Ghosts here.

But now, not a single one was in sight.

Still, we did not dare let down our guard, staying vigilant as we moved.

The farther forward we went, the thicker the gray mist became and the poorer our visibility grew.

We had walked through the misty region for around twenty minutes when we suddenly heard ghostly "woo-woo" howls ahead.

Yet the rooster kept running forward.

Seeing this, Master said in a low voice,

"Stay sharp. Don't stumble at the very end."

Everyone gave a quiet "Mm" without saying anything else.

The rooster kept running ahead with its "cock-a-doodle-doo," and we hurried after it.

The "woo-woo" ghost cries grew clearer, accompanied by the sounds of talismans exploding and people shouting as they fought.

"Three Pure Ones Talismans..."

"Evil-Repelling Incantation!"

"Tonight, none of you will leave alive."

The chaotic shouts tangled with the howls of those ghosts, ringing out without end.

Before long, everyone thought of the commotion we had heard behind us on our way in.

It was likely those Secret Bureau agents again.

When
