Cemeteries had their own rules.
After eight at night, this place was closed to the public. Even family members were not allowed to visit graves.
But special cases called for special treatment. With a red pass, many things could be arranged.
The male security guard saw that I had brought a "pass," and the stiffness instantly melted from his expression. He casually slipped it into his pocket.
"Hehehe! Though the cemetery has rules, I'm a pretty understanding guy.
Wait here, little brother. I'll come out and swipe you in."
As he spoke, the guard had already opened the door and stepped out.
He took out his work badge, swiped it at the entrance, and let me in.
"Thanks!"
I nodded and said.
The guard chuckled. "Hehehe,
"No need, no need. The lights in the cemetery are off.
I've got flashlights here. Want me to get you one?
You can return it when you come back down."
The guard was being quite polite now.
I waved a hand.
"No need!"
Without stopping, I headed straight for the archway at the cemetery entrance.
The cemetery path was eerily deserted. At a glance, aside from the large cemetery archway ahead, there were only layer upon layer of white tombstones built along the mountainside behind it.
The yin energy around me also grew heavier and heavier as I approached the archway.
Yet I did not feel the slightest bit nervous. Instead, I felt relaxed.
I had long grown accustomed to this sort of gloom...
After passing through the archway and crossing the small plaza in front of the cemetery,
I felt a chill running over my neck. Strands of ghostly energy drifted around me, before and behind, left and right.
If I opened my Heavenly Eye, I would probably see quite a few residents
