At Compassion Temple, the Black Lotus Seal that had unexpectedly taken root on my hand finally came into play.
It actually allowed me to touch this strange Black Lotus.
But the tide-like coldness numbed my entire arm, covering it in frost.
Seeing this, Master could not help but exclaim in surprise:
"What an icy spiritual plant. I imagine it can only grow in a Ghost Domain that gathers yin and evil energy, like this Golden Toad Treasure Land."
As he spoke, Master pressed one hand directly onto my left arm.
In that instant, I felt a current of energy released from Master.
That energy flowed directly into my body, easing the cold in my left hand considerably.
The frost on my arm fell away piece by piece...
I hesitated no longer. Since I could touch this Black Lotus Stalk, I would pull it out.
"I'm pulling it out now!"
With that, I did not hesitate in the slightest.
I clenched my hand around the Black Lotus Stalk and yanked it.
Enduring the cold and discomfort, I pulled hard.
The entire Black Lotus shook violently, spreading strange black mist as its hateful aura grew exceptionally dense.
The black roots embedded in the bodies of those ghosts snapped one after another.
They made a series of bang, bang, bang sounds.
Finally, with a bang, I ripped out the entire Black Lotus, roots and all.
But the instant the Black Lotus was uprooted, the innocent ghosts it had rooted into exploded at once, turning into clusters of ghost fire. There was no way to save them.
The Black Lotus in my hand violently trembled, and black light rippled outward.
The entire cave began shaking as though an earthquake had struck.
