On the battlefield,
Mei Luolan stared at Li Si in disbelief, opening her mouth as if to say something. But soon, the lightning reduced her internal organs and throat to ash, leaving her able to make only harsh, rasping breaths. Moments later, the light faded from her eyes as well.
Mei Luolan, the Gold-level assassin of the Plague Cult, was dead!

Li Si let out a breath. With a flick of his longsword, Mei Luolan's body, like a heap of rotten flesh, was tossed onto the ground beside him.
Her insides had been completely reduced to ash. Not even a drop of blood stained Li Si's sword.
That had not been easy, but he had finally succeeded!
Looking at Mei Luolan's corpse before him, Li Si finally relaxed somewhat.
From the beginning of the battle, Mei Luolan had been his first target.
She was from the Plague Cult, after all. Those plague god divine spells of hers were simply too troublesome.
And compared to the giant bear Duke House had transformed into, Mei Luolan, a fragile assassin, was obviously much easier to deal with.
At first, Li Si had only revealed his abilities as a mage and warrior, concealing the assassin skills he possessed that were related to Shadow Power.
To that end, Li Si had not even shown that he could detect Mei Luolan while she was stealthed. Using targeted spells such as Glitterdust had also invisibly convinced Mei Luolan that her stealth abilities were secure.
