Akote City, Burns Estate,
Angela, in the form of a White Little Bat, nibbled on the pastries before her as she told Li Si about the difficulties of finding those vampires.
"This is such a hassle. No matter how I look, I can't find them!"
"They're too good at hiding!"
Seeing how much Angela was enjoying herself, Li Si picked up a frosted pudding and took a bite as well.
"How have you been looking for those vampires?"
Li Si was rather curious. To be honest, finding every high-level vampire might be difficult, but it should not have been so hard that she had not found even one, right?
"I went everywhere and wandered through the streets, eating while searching for vampire scents. I also bought information in some places, but at most, I only found some very weak vampires."
"Marion said vampire scents were obvious, that I'd find them right away."
"He was totally lying to me!"
Looking at the resentful Angela, Li Si could not help feeling a little embarrassed.
Wandering around shopping streets while looking for vampires? This was not Blue Star from Li Si's previous life. All the markets operated during the day. Did she think vampires could move about in daylight just like her?
In fact, sunlight no longer affected high-level vampires much, but the instinctive disgust rooted deep within their souls still made them unwilling to go out during the day. They only appeared at night to hunt.
As for the low-level vampires, blood descendants, and blood thralls who served as the claws and fangs of high-level vampires, sunlight affected them far more severely.
Therefore, it was extremely difficult to discover traces of vampires during the day.
For Angela to think she could find vampires merely by wandering the streets was simply wishful thinking.
