Demogorgon silently watched the dreamlike World Heart below. Though the last of the power within His body was continuously draining away and falling toward the Space Channel below, His expression did not change in the slightest.
This avatar of Pompeii Isreal was Demogorgon's most powerful avatar in Gaia World. Unlike King Dilon's method of directly taking over a body, it contained a considerable amount of divine power.
To allow this Divine Avatar to descend into Gaia World, Demogorgon had paid a considerable price and invested a great deal of effort.
More importantly, this avatar had obtained the purest power of destruction and death from the Endless Abyss. It was a power the Abyss Will had specifically bestowed upon Demogorgon's avatar.
Otherwise, let alone this Divine Avatar of Demogorgon, even if His true body acted in person, He might not have been able to corrupt World Tree Yggdrasil.
Although World Tree Yggdrasil had appeared in Gaia World during the earliest days of its birth, it was, in a sense, the manifestation of Gaia World's foundational laws and power. It represented the laws and power of life and nature within Gaia World.
Other than those ancient gods born at the beginning of creation, nearly all of Gaia World's earliest life forms were born under the influence of the World Tree, not just the elves.
However, World Tree Yggdrasil did not possess consciousness in a certain sense. More often, it instinctively maintained Gaia World's operation and development.
There was even a theory that the World Tree was the core of the Gaia World cluster, and that every celestial body and Pocket World other than the Endless Abyss had been born upon its branches and leaves.
Still, that was only a theory. No one could prove it.
