A slender figure appeared before Li Si and the others, and a surprised voice rang out:

Naturally, Li Si recognized who had called out to him.

Daphne came to a stop before Li Si and greeted him happily, as though she had run into an old friend she had not seen in ages.
"Oh, hello, Cecile!"
As though she had only just noticed Cecile following behind Li Si, Daphne greeted her as well.
"Hello, Daphne."
Cecile had remained rather downcast ever since her mother's death.
So Cecile merely forced herself to return Daphne's greeting, then lowered her head and said nothing more.
Originally, after arriving in Emerald City, Li Si had intended to send Cecile to her father first. He and Mil could handle the rest themselves.
But Cecile had refused Li Si's suggestion. Even knowing that she would likely be unable to help much, she still wanted to do something—to contribute her own strength toward the revenge to come.
It would make her feel a little better.
Li Si did not refuse. Perhaps keeping busy would allow Cecile to temporarily forget that painful past.
