Elf Village,
Li Si looked at Adela in astonishment. For a moment, he thought he had misheard her.
Ascend the divine throne and become a god?
Was that something a believer serving the gods should say?
To many believers, the gods held supreme status. Wanting to become a god and stand at the same height as their deity was blasphemy against the gods to devout believers.
But why would this Elf Great Sage say such a thing?
Countless thoughts raced through Li Si's mind, and for a moment, he did not know how to respond.
Yet Adela did not seem to be in any hurry. She stood quietly beside Li Si, gazing at the Divine Statues of the Elf Gods before them as though waiting for his answer.
"Of course I do!"
After a moment of silence, Li Si spoke softly to Adela.
"However, you should be able to tell that I am already an Arcanist."
Adela was a Legendary Mage on the same level as Teacher Stephens, so naturally, she could easily see that he was an Arcanist.
However, Adela's aura-concealment techniques far surpassed Li Si's, so he had no way to discern her aura and did not know whether this powerful figure was also an Arcanist.
But regardless, Adela should understand that any Arcanist who wished to continue down this path had the same ultimate goal Teacher Stephens had described: to analyze and master the foundational rules of the world, then alter or create new rules.
Becoming a god, however, would undoubtedly mean abandoning this path of mastering World Rules.
Teacher Stephens had once told Li Si that the power of the gods came from the faith of their believers, but on a deeper level, it actually came from abiding by the rules of the Gaia World.
