For the past few days, Gerald had been wholly focused on the war against the Archibald Kingdom and the Paro Federation. Only today had the fighting between both sides temporarily come to an end.
The Gordon Kingdom's army had gained a brief period to rest and regroup, while the combined forces of the Archibald Kingdom and the Paro Federation had also withdrawn to lick their wounds.
Both sides understood that this peace was only temporary.
Sooner or later, they would clash even more fiercely.
What worried Gerald most was that if this dragged on, the Gordon Kingdom truly would not be able to hold out much longer.
A few days earlier, he had received a secret report that the Kyle Kingdom's forces in the west had clashed with Gordon Kingdom patrol soldiers along the border between the two nations.
This meant that the Kyle Kingdom had begun probing them. If the Kyle Kingdom also joined the camp besieging the Gordon Kingdom, then things would truly become dangerous.
At that point, the Gordon Kingdom would either have to abandon the territories it had annexed through previous wars and pull all its forces back to defend the homeland.
Or it would have to pour all its strength into crushing one side's army. However, such an extreme approach could very likely cause the entire situation to collapse. The destruction of the kingdom would not be impossible.
