Li Si looked somewhat surprised at the burly figure sitting directly before the tall tower in the distance. He had not expected the Dwarf King, Preston, to appear here.
As the sole king of the Dwarf Kingdom, Preston was immensely powerful, one of the very strongest among Legendary beings.
Though he normally looked no different from an ordinary dwarf, his small body contained explosive power.
As his size continued to grow, the strength Preston could unleash became increasingly terrifying.
Li Si had once seen Preston grow as large as a small mountain, wielding power that seemed capable of tearing apart the heavens.
Although Preston was not as large now as he had been while fighting the Shadow Monster in Lonely Mountain City, he was still far bigger than an ordinary adult dwarf.
More importantly, why had the Dwarf King suddenly appeared here?
Could the seals on those Demigod Equipment and Holy Artifacts be related to him?
For some reason, as Li Si looked at Preston, he felt that something about the other's aura was off.
It was as though he were looking at a hollow lifeform.
Although the life force Preston radiated was intense, it was far too calm in Li Si's eyes, lacking the fluctuations a normal living being should possess.
Li Si had only faintly noticed this because he and Preston had come this close.
Li Si trusted his instincts.
As a World Tree favored one, after breaking through to Legend in the domain of life, Li Si possessed an innate advantage in this regard.
Sure enough, the Dwarf King Preston was hiding a great secret as well!
Perhaps that was why, despite being so powerful, he had never attempted to ascend to godhood even in the later stages of the story?
