Underground City, Forbidden Fortress Donovan,
When the power at the heart of the fortress finally broke free of its restraints, an unprecedentedly destructive explosion erupted with a roar, as though the bell of doomsday had been violently struck.
At the instant of the explosion, all of Donovan seemed to be seized by an invisible giant hand.
Then came a deafening roar—the mournful dirge of collapsing buildings and shattering city walls.
The towering spires were as fragile as paper in the shockwave, snapping in half one after another as stone and dust intertwined in the air to form an apocalyptic tableau.
On the streets, the figures of the Dark Elves were drowned out by the tremendous blast. Life seemed so insignificant and fragile in that moment.
As the explosion continued, every inch of Fortress Donovan trembled. Cracks spread rapidly like black giant pythons, devouring every place left to stand.
The buildings collapsed one after another like dominoes. The rising dust blotted out the sky and sun, completely shrouding this once-glorious Underground City in darkness.
At last, as the lingering force of the explosion gradually subsided, the entire Fortress Donovan had ceased to exist. In its place stood a bottomless abyss.
It was like a wound torn open in the Underground City, and like an Abyss Behemoth Maw that had swallowed everything that once existed, leaving behind only endless silence and emptiness.
Yet as they watched the destruction of Forbidden Fortress Donovan below, the two Divine Avatars battling overhead showed no sign of stopping.
It was as though none of this was worth their concern.
Especially Lolth the Spider Queen, the one responsible for destroying Forbidden Fortress Donovan.
She did not care in the slightest that she had personally destroyed this city that belonged to her, along with the people within it
