It paid no attention at all to the cream and jam smeared all over its body.
This little bat's appetite was practically a bottomless pit. Plate after plate of pastries vanished in no time, while table after table of fresh pastries was stuffed into its belly.
It ate with utter delight, as though it wanted to sample every delicacy in the world.
The servants at the side bustled about without pause. They carefully carried away empty plates and swiftly brought out newly made pastries, afraid that if they were even a step too slow, the greedy little bat would grow impatient.
The whole room was filled with the sweet fragrance of pastries and the little bat's contented humming, creating a warm and amusing scene.
After an unknown amount of time, Li Si set down his teacup. Looking at Angela, who was sprawled across the table before him, he said with a smile,
"Have you been staying in the Burns
