Oni Yunjie and the two foxes stared at Oni Takizawa in shock, as if they no longer recognized him.
Oni Takizawa had always been kind to everyone, and especially obedient to his younger sister. When had he ever questioned her so sternly?
Oni Yunjie sensed something was off. Frowning, she asked, "Are you trying to tell me what to do?"
"Tell you what to do? Of course not. You're the Ghost Lord, after all."
Oni Takizawa smiled. "But I'm Father's son too. Don't I have the right to ask what you plan to do with his body?"
Oni Yunjie had indeed never consulted Oni Takizawa about this. He had never been interested in such mundane affairs, so she had gotten used to making decisions without asking his opinion.
Tsukikage Hoshi opened her little fan and smiled as she tried to smooth things over. "Your Highness, let's talk this out. No need to get rough."
Yuguang Kaori grew highly alert. The suddenly unfamiliar Oni Takizawa in front of her made her feel threatened.
"Right, let's talk this out."
Fang Cheng also addressed Oni Takizawa. "Why are you gripping my hand so tightly? People could get the wrong idea. I'm straight, and we're really not a good match."
"You're a very witty man!"
"That's mainly because I'm handsome. If I were ugly, it'd be harassment."
"Haha, you're right."
Oni Takizawa released Fang Cheng's hand and began strolling around the large bed, his gaze settling on the Ghost Lord's body.
"A king who accomplished so much that he'll go down in Monster history, yet died here without anyone knowing. Then his children used his death for their own ends. Isn't that tragic?"
His manner was flippant, and there was not the slightest trace of respect for the Ghost Lord in his voice.
