Fang Cheng's Eagles and the enemy's Drone Swarm soon clashed in the sky above the town, engaging in a fierce battle.
In a sense, the two sides were quite similar. The Blood Beasts Fang Cheng created had a certain degree of intelligence and could fight on their own without being controlled.
The Drone Swarm was controlled by intelligent AI, with its own set of algorithms and strong responses to changing situations.
The fight was evenly matched. Neither side could overwhelm the other in combat strength, so victory would come down to numbers.
Looking up from the ground, one could see countless red and white figures interweaving in the sky, while flying bullets and steel needles filled the air like a storm.
The scene was reminiscent of the classic dogfights between propeller planes during the World Wars.
Every so often, a destroyed drone would plummet from the sky. When a Blood Eagle was killed, it would turn into blood, which Fang Cheng controlled and restored.
The SOT Unit couldn't carry too many drones. Once they were used up, they were gone. Fang Cheng, on the other hand, could keep creating Blood Eagles without end.
The difference in numbers soon became obvious. After a few minutes of fighting, the Drone Swarm had been wiped out.
After winning, the Blood Eagles immediately flew toward the SOT Unit blocking the town's outskirts, launching a crushing aerial attack on the troops below.
The SOT Unit had come to hunt down the Cyborgs and hadn't expected to be ambushed from the air. They'd brought very little anti-air equipment and were quickly driven into a panic, scrambling for cover.
The same scene was unfolding at the other end of town.
The Blood Eagles routed the SOT Unit blocking the exit, leaving them unable to continue their blockade.
