Having overused his psychic powers, Sato Hayato had fallen into a semi-conscious state and was taken back to Machine City.
Less than half an hour later, he woke up in the makeshift Field Hospital.
He found that his bloodstained clothes had been changed, but his new outfit was a dress.
Kujo Yuri was dozing with her head beside his hospital bed.
Sato Hayato shook her awake in exasperation. "Yuri, of all times, you had to put me in a dress?"
Kujo Yuri complained, "I couldn't find anything else. Going back to get some was too much trouble. Want me to go back and grab you a set now?"
Sato Hayato sighed. "Forget it. I'll leave it on."
The short skirt was revealing, but at least it didn't get in the way.
Kujo Yuri pretended to rub her eyes, but a flash of delight flickered in them.
"By the way, how are things outside?"
Sato Hayato remembered what had happened before he passed out. He had held on until Kanzaki Rin and Ye Yuqing returned, and only then had he relaxed, his taut nerves giving way as he collapsed.
Kujo Yuri reassured him, "It's all right now. The captain came back with the Spaceship, and Kanzaki-san is directing the citizens to board and evacuate."
Sato Hayato couldn't stay in bed. He hurriedly swung his legs over the side. "I'll help, too."
Kujo Yuri looked worried. "But your condition..."
"I'm fine. I've got my energy back."
Kujo Yuri hurried with her boyfriend to Central Plaza.
The Spaceship had reached the sky above Central Plaza, but it was cloaked and hidden from the public.
Fang Cheng's clones created a large number of small spacecraft to ferry the citizens aboard one by one, without letting them see the Spaceship itself.
