The memory that appeared before Fang Cheng this time was still set inside a spaceship, but it wasn't heading for Earth. It was traveling toward an unfamiliar star system.
It was another memory from before she came to Earth. Fang Cheng assumed his mother was once again on her way to hunt down an Evil God.
From the previous memories, he could guess that his mother had visited many extraterrestrial civilizations, and every one of them had been destroyed without exception.
Perhaps this memory was of another destroyed civilization. Fang Cheng wasn't particularly looking forward to it.
But he soon realized he was wrong.
The spaceship was moving very fast, already at near-light speed. It soon entered a star system.
The sight of it left him stunned.
There were no planets in the system. Instead, it was filled with vast clusters of fantastical, futuristic structures.
Some of the structures were ring-shaped, others were hollow spheres, and all of them were larger than Earth. Countless satellite cities surrounded them, forming an asteroid belt.
This was undoubtedly a highly advanced civilization, many times more technologically developed than Earth.
But it had clearly suffered a catastrophe. Most of the structures, each comparable in size to a planet, had been destroyed. Countless fragments drifted through space like debris, among them the wreckage of numerous warships.
A brutal war had taken place here. There was no sign of life anywhere. Everything was cold and lifeless.
Along with his shock, Fang Cheng felt disbelief. Could even a civilization like this have fallen to an Evil God's arrival?
The spaceship continued deeper into the system and soon reached its center.
The central star had been turned into a Dyson Sphere. It, too, had been caught in the fighting, but was mostly intact. He could see several craft
