Nuoya's soul fragment had wandered around Earth for a long time, choosing many people. The most outstanding of them was Isis.

Unfortunately, even Isis had failed to meet her expectations.

"So in the end, you just picked me at random?"

Fang Cheng gave a derisive laugh. He had seen Nuoya's memories, and knew she had possessed him on the spot when she encountered Isis in Area 11, afraid of being discovered.

Who would've thought that this random choice would win the grand prize?

In response to Fang Cheng's teasing, Nuoya merely said, "It wasn't random. You're special."

Fang Cheng smiled. "Special? Is it because my looks are way off the charts?"

"No. It's because your soul came from another universe."

Fang Cheng froze.

He had just been wondering whether Nuoya knew he was a transmigrator. He hadn't expected her to say it so bluntly.

Ignoring Fang Cheng's expression, Nuoya continued, "Even the Star Spirits haven't fully mastered Subspace. Countless Rifts lead to countless unknown places. Back then, your soul was so weak it seemed as if a gust of wind could make it disappear, yet it drifted out of a Rift and ended up on Earth. I remember wondering just how much luck, and how tiny a probability, that would take."

Fang Cheng looked at her strangely. "You picked me because I was lucky?"

Nuoya smiled. "You could say that, but the main reason was that your soul came from another world."

She had chosen so many potential heirs on Earth, but none of them had succeeded.

It wasn't that they lacked talent. The problem was their origins.

Humans on Earth came from Yaoguang, which meant their potential couldn't surpass Yaoguang's.

The monsters on Earth came from Nuoya's power, so their potential couldn't surpass hers either.

Fang Cheng was different.
