Entering the World Martial Arts Tournament

Goku and Yun Feng gathered all the Dragon Balls, restored New Planet Vegeta, and sent its people back.

Listening to them express their gratitude, Yun Feng couldn't understand a single word.

With that matter settled, Yun Feng flew home.

As soon as Yun Feng walked in, Android 18 rushed over and wrapped her arms tightly around him.

Yun Feng patted Android 18 on the shoulder. "It's all right, it's all right."

Tears streamed down Android 18's face. "I thought something had happened to you. You were gone for so long."

Yun Feng grinned mischievously. "Did you miss me?"

"I did," Android 18 replied shyly. Yun Feng looked at the lovely woman in his arms. Android 18 truly deserved her reputation as the number one goddess in Dragon Ball; her shy expression was absolutely intoxicating.

Gohan was attending class as usual when Videl suddenly got a phone call and ran out again. Apparently, there were more robbers. About an hour passed, and the class was over. It was already the second period, but Videl still hadn't returned.

Gohan was a little puzzled. What had Videl gone off to do? Why hadn't she come back yet? Had she run into some powerful enemy?

I have to go check. But class is still in session—what should I do? Gohan stamped his feet, and suddenly the whole building began to shake.

"Everyone, get down! It's an earthquake!" the teacher shouted.

Gohan took the opportunity to run outside. Once he was out, he searched for Videl's ki. Sure enough, her ki had weakened. She must have run into a powerful enemy.

Gohan flew over at once and saw Videl fighting a flying monster, barely managing to hold her own. With a whoosh, Gohan vanished from where he stood. When he reappeared beneath the monster, one punch knocked it unconscious.

Gohan lifted the monster and flew toward the mountains. Videl flew after him, while the police watched the two of them fly away. "Is flying the new trend these days?"

The monster had merely lost its way and wandered into a city where humans lived. Gohan had only knocked it out; he hadn't taken its life.

After returning it to the mountains, Gohan and Videl flew back to school.

"Gohan, you should enter the World Martial Arts Tournament. I heard the champion of the previous tournament was a mysterious man named Son Goku."

"That's your father, isn't he? I heard Yun Feng call your father Goku that day."

Gohan stammered, "I-I'll have to go home and talk it over with my father."

"If you don't enter, I'll tell everyone in our class that you're the Golden Warrior. I saw you and your father transform that day."

Gohan grimaced. "All right, I promise."

"Make sure you invite Yun Feng too. If you two come, the World Martial Arts Tournament will be so much more exciting," Videl said eagerly.

When Gohan got home and told Goku, Goku furrowed his brow. "Gohan, I don't have a problem with it, but we still need to see what Master thinks. You shouldn't have agreed right away."

Gohan grimaced. "But if I didn't agree, she'd reveal my identity, and I wouldn't be able to go to school anymore."

Goku used Instant Transmission and vanished from the house. In an instant, he appeared outside Yun Feng's home and knocked on the door.

Yun Feng's voice came from inside. "Goku, I already know why you're here. I'm willing to enter this tournament. Have Gohan tell everyone."

Goku was overjoyed. "All right, Master. I won't disturb you any longer."

When Gohan heard the good news from Goku, he happily went to tell Uncle Vegeta and the others.

Sure enough, as soon as Vegeta heard that Goku and Yun Feng would be entering, he immediately said, "I'm in."

After hearing the news, the Dragon Ball warriors all declined, except Piccolo, who said he would participate. "We're no match for Goku or Mr. Yun Feng. We'll come watch instead."

A week later.

At the entrance to the World Martial Arts Tournament, Goku, Gohan, and little Son Goten were already waiting for everyone.

A short while later, Vegeta, Bulma, and Kid Trunks arrived in a jet.

Vegeta walked over to Goku. "Kakarot, I won't go easy on you. My goal is to defeat both you and Yun Feng."

Goku gave an awkward smile. "Vegeta, I won't go easy on you either."

Just as registration was about to close, a figure suddenly appeared at the venue. It was Yun Feng, accompanied by Android 18.

"Master, you're finally here. I'll go sign you up right away. Is Android 18 entering too?" Goku asked.

Yun Feng nodded. "We're both entering."

Yun Feng looked at everyone who had arrived and greeted them one by one.

Babidi's spaceship.

"Are you sure you can injure Yun Feng and his group at the World Martial Arts Tournament this time?" Babidi asked.

In the darkness, a black silhouette laughed. "You can count on me, Lord Babidi. I'm nothing like that useless Dabura."

Babidi nodded. "Good. Since you're so confident, I'll leave this to you."

"The new King of the Demon Realm, Ghost Shark." It turned out that after his defeat, Babidi had gone to the Demon Realm again. Ever since Dabura had been taken away by Babidi, a new king had risen in the Demon Realm.

The people of the Demon Realm were all sorts of aliens with strong evil inclinations. As expected, they had submitted to Babidi's magic without a fight.

This time, Babidi had sent Ghost Shark into the World Martial Arts Tournament to find a powerful energy source and revive Majin Buu, because things were unfolding differently from the original story.

Yun Feng knew nothing about Babidi's plan.

"Everyone, line up for the preliminary judging. Now, let's have the world champion, Mr. Satan, give us a demonstration."

A middle-aged man with curly hair wore a martial arts uniform and a white cape, with a World Martial Arts Tournament belt tied around his waist.

This was Mr. Satan, the champion of the previous World Martial Arts Tournament. He removed his cape and took off his belt in one smooth motion. He had clearly practiced it many times.

Then he punched the strength-testing machine. With a bang, the machine displayed a score of 193.

The referee immediately called out, "193 points! What a high score! That's probably the highest anyone will get in this tournament. All right, thank you, Mr. Satan."

Goku, Piccolo, Yun Feng, Android 18, and the others took their turns at the strength test. They had to control their strength carefully; otherwise, they would destroy the machine.

They all gave it a light tap and scored over 200 points, making the referee think the machine was broken. Vegeta couldn't even be bothered to hide his power. One punch, and he destroyed the machine.

Everyone was dumbfounded. Yun Feng and Goku both shook their heads. The prince sure was willful.

The tournament matchups were drawn at last. Goku had been paired against Vegeta, who was thrilled about it for quite some time. Krillin said, "I can't believe Goku and Vegeta got matched up in the first round."

Yun Feng was paired with an Earthling, but he didn't bother finding out who it was. Android 18 would face the masked man, Piccolo would face Axin, and Gohan's opponent was someone named Kibito.

Videl was matched against an Earthling, while Ghost Shark's first opponent was also an Earthling.

Since the adult matches wouldn't start for a while, everyone went to watch Goten and Trunks compete in the junior division.

Sure enough, Goten and Trunks both made it to the finals with ease.

The bespectacled referee, a middle-aged man, looked at Son Goten with tears in his eyes. "He's Son Goku's child. There's no doubt about it—he looks just like him. This is the World Martial Arts Tournament I've been waiting for!"

Goten and Trunks each took up a fighting stance, ready to begin.

"Goten, I won't go easy on you. You'd better watch out."

Goku chimed in too. "Trunks, I won't lose. Dad and my big brother have both trained me, so I'm not the same as I used to be."

It turned out Goten and Trunks often played fighting games together.

They both charged at each other, trading punches from the very start. Their fight began as a contest of strength, and the two of them locked together in the center of the ring.
