Heavenly Realm
He held a staff in his hand and wore a white robe embroidered with the character for "god," while a blue cape fluttered in the wind. This was the Guardian of Earth. Looking down at the world below, he suddenly spoke. "Popo, Frieza has been killed. We'll have a visitor soon. Get ready to welcome him."
Before long, Yun Feng flew over. Popo was extremely nervous when he saw him. "Are you an alien?" Yun Feng gave Popo a powerful impression, and a bead of cold sweat trickled down Popo's forehead.
Yun Feng smiled. "You must be Mr. Popo."
The Guardian spoke first. "Mr. Yun Feng, you defeated Frieza and his son, making you a benefactor to Earth. Please ask for anything you want. We'll do our best to grant your request."
Yun Feng replied, "You're too kind, Guardian. I'd just like to use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. I want to train Goku and his son, as well as Piccolo, so we'll be ready for the powerful enemies who'll appear later."
The Guardian's expression turned serious. "Earth truly has one disaster after another. Unfortunately, as its god, there's nothing I can do. Popo, let Mr. Yun Feng use the Hyperbolic Time Chamber as he pleases."
Yun Feng hovered in the air above the Lookout, waiting for Goku, his son, and Piccolo to arrive.
Two hours later, Piccolo arrived first. He bowed to Yun Feng. "Mr. Yun Feng, train me however you like. I'm not afraid of hardship. I want to get stronger."
Yun Feng opened his eyes and looked at Piccolo. "You really are a battle-type Namekian. You're quite the warmonger."
Yun Feng pondered for a moment, then said, "Piccolo, now that you're separated from the Guardian, you're just an ordinary Namekian. I suggest you reunite with the Guardian. Your strength would surely surpass that of an ordinary Super Saiyan."
Piccolo glanced at the old Guardian. The Guardian was deeply conflicted, but since Earth wasn't in danger yet, he had no reason to convince himself to do it.
Piccolo fell silent, too, and waited quietly for Goku and his son.
Half a day later, Goku and Gohan arrived. Yun Feng stood up. "All right, now that everyone's here, we can go inside."
They entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. The air inside was very thin. In a castle-like building, there were supplies for eating and sleeping, while the outside stretched away in a vast, featureless white expanse.
Ding! The system chimed: Hidden Quest: Spar with Piccolo once. Reward: Regeneration skill. As long as the head isn't completely destroyed, all other parts can regenerate.
Wasn't this Piccolo's signature ability? This quest suited him perfectly.
Yun Feng put on an air of mystery. "Piccolo, spar with me in a bit. I want to see how strong you are now. Goku, train Gohan first and help him transform into a Super Saiyan."
"Piccolo, let's begin." Piccolo took off his cape, ready to face Yun Feng with his full attention.
Yun Feng stood there, radiating an imposing aura. Piccolo broke into a cold sweat just standing before him. "Come at me, Piccolo."
Piccolo roared. "My body's swelling with power!" His body seemed to grow a size larger, and he threw a punch. Yun Feng met it with a punch of his own. Their fists collided, and Piccolo staggered back several steps.
Yun Feng roared. "That's the stuff! Again!"
Piccolo's arms stretched out as he charged straight at Yun Feng. Yun Feng jumped to dodge, but Piccolo's arms moved like nimble serpents, working in tandem to attack him.
Yun Feng roared, and waves of energy burst out, knocking Piccolo's arms away. "Nice fighting, Piccolo. Show me your speed next. I want to see what you can do."
Piccolo suddenly vanished. Yun Feng calmed himself and immediately sensed the path Piccolo was taking. With a boom, Piccolo went flying. Yun Feng had landed only one kick.
"That's enough for now." Yun Feng heard the system notification: Hidden Quest complete.
Received the Regeneration skill.
Piccolo slowly walked over. Though Yun Feng was pleased, he knew he also needed to teach Piccolo a few things.
Yun Feng said, "Mr. Piccolo, you're strong, but don't you feel that all your attributes are too evenly balanced? You have no explosive power. Your speed and strength are both decent, but neither stands out."
"If your speed were exceptional, then you could beat an opponent with the same combat power as yours. But there's one major pitfall: if you only increase your strength and neglect your speed, even the greatest strength is useless."
"All right. Spar with me for half an hour every day. Spend the rest of your time training your speed and increasing your strength. Keep working on both."
Three days later—which meant three years had passed outside—the arduous training had raised Yun Feng's combat power from 9.1 billion to 10.8 billion. His strength had stabilized at the mid-level of Super Saiyan 1.
Piccolo's combat power had reached 4.3 billion, putting him on the verge of Super Saiyan-level strength.
It was time to leave. "Piccolo, come with me somewhere. Let Goku and Gohan stay here and keep training."
The door of the Hyperbolic Time Chamber opened. Popo looked toward the doorway as Yun Feng and Piccolo stepped out.
The Guardian asked, "How did your training go?"
Yun Feng replied, "I've hit a bit of a bottleneck. Piccolo and I are going out to clear our heads and take care of something."
The two flew for about two hours before reaching a mountain range. Piccolo asked, "Where are we?"
Yun Feng replied, "Dr. Gero's laboratory. The Androids should be coming out of here. Let's see if we can destroy them."
Piccolo grew excited. "So this is where they were made."
After entering a cave, the two found the laboratory door. Yun Feng fired a Light Blast and blew it open. Once they went inside, he was dumbfounded. Based on the timeline, the Androids shouldn't have been released yet.
But a terrifying scene lay before him. The hatch doors of Androids 19, 20, 16, 17, 18, and 15 were all open, and the Androids inside had long since disappeared.
Yun Feng's heart sank. Had they been released early? And there was an unfamiliar Android 15, who hadn't been in the original story. It seemed that Yun Feng's arrival had already begun to quietly change the plot.
The system's mechanical voice rang out again: Hidden Quest: Destroy Dr. Gero's laboratory. Reward: 1 billion combat power.
Yun Feng was overjoyed. This was a real prize. His own strength was what mattered most.
After training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for three years, Yun Feng had increased his combat power by less than 2 billion.
There was a bottleneck between Super Saiyan 1 and Super Saiyan 2. If he could grasp the key to breaking through to Super Saiyan 2, his strength would skyrocket. His combat power might even surpass 100 billion.
Piccolo suddenly shouted, "Yun Feng, come quick! There are more Androids here."
Yun Feng ran over. Sure enough, Androids 12, 13, and 14 were still lying inside. Of the Androids from the movies, Android 15 was the only one missing.
Yun Feng nodded to Piccolo. "Let's destroy them. That'll save us trouble later."
They each fired three Light Paths, destroying all three Androids.
"Piccolo, let's go underground. Dr. Gero's computer is still making terrifying monsters." After a long search, the two finally found the entrance. They went down, and what they saw left even Yun Feng stunned.
There was no denying that Dr. Gero was a genius. It was just a shame he hadn't put his talent to better use. Instead, he'd created one terrifying Android after another.
Below was a mass of sophisticated machinery, and a computer was still operating, lights flashing. A green monster was developing inside a glass container above it.
Piccolo stared in shock, his mouth hanging open. "Yun Feng, what kind of monster is this? I have a bad feeling about it."
